Apple appears to be gearing up for an artist arms race among its music streaming service competitors.

The largest music retailer has reportedly offered Drake an eight-figure deal to serve as a guest DJ for iTunes radio and endorse the brand in other capacities.

According to the New York Post, Drizzy is among a handful of artists Apple has been targeting to align with its services.

Several music industry sources say Pharrell Williams and French DJ David Guetta have also had conversations with the consumer electronic giant.
