Lions Gate Films has signed a multi-picture deal with LL Cool J which should secure the fact that LL won’t be going anywhere as an actor. LL’s first role in the deal will have him reprising the role Michael Douglas played in the urban remake of “Fatal Attraction” according to the Hollywood Reporter.
For those who don’t know, “Fatal Attraction” is a cult favorite of which puts a man (in this case LL) in a precarious position when he gets more than he bargained for after he cheats on his wife.
By “urbanizing” the film, Michael Paseornek, president of production at Lions Gate, is making his bid to hit an “underserved and often ignored” segment of the population that attends movies (i.e. Black Women).
“We are not looking to develop gimmicks but make real movies. LL has a huge following and is very credible with women.“
