As David Banner’s “intimate club” anthem “Play” roars along on radio, the Dirty South rapper has took advantage of the situation and signed a deal to bring his own animated show to the Cartoon Network.

Although things like the show’s title haven’t been let out of the bag yet, MTV caught up with Banner to see if he would let us in a little on the show.

I can’t tell y’all the name of [the cartoon] yet, but it’s going to be about an older white family in Mississippi whose mind frame is still caught in the 1800s,” Banner said. “Then along comes me, and then, wow!

The show is slated to be on the Adult Swim block so one can expect a little mature material for their viewing pleasure.

In the meantime his new album Certified is approaching its release (August 23rd) after being pushed back from its original date of July 19th.
