Curtiss King has become one of the most notable names in West Coast Hip Hop these days and he’s been prepping the release of his forthcoming studio album.
HipHopDX’s Ural Garrett recently caught up with the California-based emcee and spoke with him about his next project.
“In terms of me being a solo artist, I have an album that’s done and complete so right now we’re making last minute preparations to make sure we’re getting it out there in the best way to the people,” he said when describing the LP. “I can’t really talk about features or the production. All I can tell you is it’s the best music I’ve ever made. And to be able to have that in the bank to relieve all that stress as an artist. I’m excited to get the people to this music.”
Curtiss King also spoke about his love for E-40 and says he’s really excited for the Bay Area artist’s upcoming work.

“You’ve got to understand, for somebody who’s been an E-40 fan since I was ye high, it’s a big deal for me,” he said. “I don’t think people realize how big of a E-40 fan I am. So when Murs told me about the situation I had to keep tight-lipped about it ’cause we find out about things a little bit earlier but I’m just like, ‘Aw man!’ I’m waiting for the 18th for the album to come out.”
