After 15-plus years in Eminem‘s camp, D12’s dEnAuN released his debut EP, the six-track sTuFf In My BaCkPaCk, yesterday (May 7).
“These songs all gave me a retro feel of my favorite time in Hip Hop, which I call the Tribe era, a fun time in music when you never knew what to expect,” the Grammy award-winning producer says of sTuFf In My BaCkPaCk on his Bandcamp page. “This is my interpretation of that. This is the #sTuFfInMyBaCkPaCk.”
dEnAuN, a.k.a. Mr. Porter, has worn a few hats over the years. His involvement with Eminem dates back to 1996, when he co-produced and was featured on Em’s Infinite album. He was also an original member of D12, which was founded the same year.
From there, he produced and was featured on material with Game, Method Man, Jadakiss, Busta Rhymes, G-Unit, 50 Cent, Royce Da 5’9″ and Snoop Dogg, among others.
