Back in late March, Wiz Khalifa and Curren$y announced that they would be teaming up for their third collaborative project titled #2009.

During a recent interview with MTV News’ Adam Fleischer, Wiz offered an update on the status of the mixtape.

“It’s something that we’re working on. We’re still putting the ideas together and just making it a full project,” Wiz told the publication at Live Nation’s National Concert Day this past Tuesday (May 5). “Because we’re such friends and we’re such stoners, we kind of just wanna give it out. But, then, you know, we are in the music business, so, we’re figuring out the best way to package it and put it together. The music is there, and we always gonna be recording and putting stuff out, so we’re just putting the plan together really. I wanna have the best plan of action so it comes off correctly.

“We’re just working on it constantly,” Wiz continues. “He just got off of tour, and he always hits me up with new ideas about the project; I always hit him up. He’s always sending me beats that he rapped to, or I’m sending him stuff that I rapped to. In the end, we’re just gonna come out with something super dope.”
