Tech N9ne debuted his new track “Speedom (WWC2)” featuring Eminem and Krizz Kaliko on the Sway in the Morning broadcast today (April 20).
Since Sway didn’t believe Tech had landed his dream-collaboration, Tech decided to have Eminem call in to the show during his visit to confirm.
“Unfortunately, I couldn’t be there,” Eminem says over the phone. “I’ve been a fan of Tech for a long time. Timing hasn’t been right for a long time. I had been mentioning to Paul if I ever get a chance… I want to do a song with Tech.”
“Timing wasn’t good,” Tech interjects.
“Everything has its time, this tribute to Richie Haven is perfect,” he says. “I thank you so much, you came at the right time. With the passing of my mom I just needed that extra umph, that verse lifted me up. I’ve been going through it like a mother.”
Sway allowed Tech N9ne to introduce the track live on-air.
“This song has been in the making for a decade plus,” Tech says. “I wanted to rap with someone I deem the best i’ve ever heard… unmatched. I always wanted to rap with someone like that because I felt like I am in that lane. This is the person that I say is at the hilt of that shit.”
“Man, thank you,” Eminem says.
Later in the interview, Eminem says he’s been a Tech N9ne fan since 1999, when the two collaborated on “The Anthem,” a track that was featured on Sway & King Tech’s second album, This or That.
“I’ve been a fan of Tech since we did ‘The Anthem,'” Eminem says. “The past 10 years it seems like he’s getting better and better.”
“I just wanted to send him something that he thought was dope,” Tech says. “The timing was right, and when I heard the beat I said this is Eminem. At first, I was going to send it to Nicki as well, but I was scared.
“I’m just glad Seven did a beat that was so powerful that made Marshall want to do these things.”
Tech N9ne’s forthcoming album Special Effects is slated to be released on May 5.

Eminem just Snapped, but i liked all of the verses, in general a massive track :O
i fucks with richie haven
Nothing better than two of your favorite artists coming together and having such huge respect for each other. They’re both humble as hell and that says a lot about an artist in my opinion.
Too bad the song sucks.
The original collaboration which was supposed to be “So lonely” would have been a lot better
Can we hear the audio for the interview?
for real
Yup. Em murdered you on your own shyt (Nas Voice)
” At first, I was going to send it to Nicki as well, but I was scared”
What? Can someone explain this guy being powerful or flying with stars does not mean having features with clowns?
yep, just as i suspected, nothing but speedy “lyrical” rappity rap about nothing at all. you fools clown drake but at least he talks about relatable shit in his songs, and the numbers prove it.
Relatable like talking about starting from the bottom when he was an actor on a popular TV show or talking about being a millionaire which his core audience are not? LOL FOH. You are wrong once again. Numbers prove that Aubrey is behind Eminem. Besides, Speedom (WWC2) is a dope track and they are talking about something. You always find an excuse to hate on Eminem while dickriding Aubrey.
“started from the bottom” is very relatable. everyone has started somewhere, doesn’t have to be from a tv show. and people eventually make it to where they wanna be. and all the millionaire talk serves as motivation to people to get up, get out and make their money. everyone makes money, right? so it’s also very relatable. all tech n9ne raps about is how the industry fucks him over and how good he is at rapping. nobody except internet nerds relates to that, therefore he doesn’t sell as much as drake.
Drake is for females and men who shake their booties
get off drakes dick nigga “started from middle class” . drakes isnt even half the lyricist eminem is drake can make good hits ill give him that and hes a decent rapper even. but fuck outta here n go run through the 6 with your woes if you cant appreciate skillful lyricism
Started From The Bottom is not relatable at all since it’s nothing more than Aubrey lying about struggling. He was never at the bottom. The millionaire talk is not motivation, it’s just ego and rubbing it in people’s face. Nobody can relate to a millionaire, it’s not just about getting money. So no, Aubrey is not relatable. Tech N9ne raps about a lot of other things. Do you even listen to music at all? Do you even pay attention to lyrics? Also, sales doesn’t make you a good rapper (if that’s the case, MC Hammer is the best rapper alive), skills do and Tech has more skills than Aubrey.
Are you fucking kidding me? This is a song made for fast rappers not supposed to be showing meaning. It is the thought of what the song represents. People coming from around the world rapping together. Hence Worldwide Choppers 2. Eminem is the most meaningful rapper in history. Listen to Talking 2 Myself, Sing For the Moment, Headlights, Cleanin’ out my Closet, Who Knew, Beautiful, Rock Bottom, Lose Yourself. I can keep going but I don’t need to.
Next level…from all 3!
Obviously Shady wrecked bt each verse was skillful & listenable, Krizz really perkd my ear
