Trey Songz dropped an EP today (April 14). Fresh off two major tours, one with Chris Brown, the other with Nicki Minaj, he’s not letting his busy schedule get in the way of his releasing music.

Songz’ Intermission serves to satisfy fans with six new cuts between the Trigga album and its re-up, Trigga Reloaded. On “Intermission (Intro),” Trey Songz starts hyping the crowd at his show but eventually yells to cut the music. He then shushes the crowd saying, “We gon’ take a little intermission.”

Going forward, Songz still wants people to hear Trigga, so he’s treating the TriggaReloaded album as an addition to the previous work, instead of an entirely new concept.

“With TriggaReloaded, I wanted to give records like ‘Slow Motion’ and other records that I had no place for a home,” the artist told ThisIsR&B in February.

I didn’t feel they belong on Tremaine, and I wanted more people to hear Trigga,” he continued. Tremaine will be more about the beautification of women, not as much “making women feel sexy and be a bad bitch,” more showing “that it’s cool to love, it’s cool to want to be romantic, it’s cool to want to be in a relationship.”
