The holiday weekend gave the Hip Hop and R&B singles chart a big boost in sales with nine of the top ten tracks posting improved performances compares to last week.

Wiz Khalifa took over the #1 spot on the chart for the first time in months and easily displaced Rihanna’s latest single “Bitch Better Have My Money” in the process. A few spots below, Rihanna’s Kanye West and Paul McCartney collaboration “FourFiveSeconds” fell to its lowest spot yet at #6 despite just over 104,000 singles sold in a single week. After weeks on end at #2, The Weeknd’s “Earned It” finally moved down to #4 and Fetty Wap pushes toward a platinum record with more than 616,000 units of his “Trap Queen” hit now sold.

Wiz Khalifa Peaks At #1 With Paul Walker Tribute

Wiz Khalifa’s popular Furious 7 soundtrack offering “See You Again” slowly climbed the chart over the past month and finally crowned the list at #1 most recently. The Charlie Puth-featuring Paul Walker tribute “See You Again” sold nearly 170,000 singles in a single week, an enormous 488% increase from its performance last week at #11.

Rihanna’s Latest Halfway To Gold In Week 2

After debuting at the top spot last week, Rihanna’s new single “Bitch Better Have My Money” fell to #2 most recently despite a solid 22% increase in sales. The new single is already nearly halfway to the Gold milestone after selling another 132,585 singles last week.

Flo Rida & Sage The Gemini Back In The Top 3

Flo Rida’s “GDFR” is officially the oldest single in the Top 10 after 24 weeks on the chart and is also back in the Top 3. After breaking the platinum milestone a few weeks back, the Sage the Gemini-assisted track sold an impressive 125,865 units last week.
