Days after it was reported that DMX and several other men allegedly robbed a man at gunpoint at a Newark, New Jersey gas station, the Yonkers, New York rapper has responded to the allegations.

While speaking with TMZ, DMX revealed that he did not “recall” any robbery incident in which he was involved. He then revealed that the alleged robbery wouldn’t serve as the first time he was accused of something he didn’t do.

“I do not recall the incident in which you are referring to,” DMX said. “I have no idea what it’s about. I mean, it comes with the territory. People are always gonna take shots. Try to accuse you of things. It’s not the first thing I’ve been accused of that I didn’t do. If I did it, you would have known about it. Like, for real. I wouldn’t be able to travel as freely as I do, if I did it. There’s nothing to worry about.”

In regards to there possibly being security footage of the robbery, DMX says such an incident wouldn’t be on camera since he doesn’t “recall any incident happening.”

“I wouldn’t even be on the cameras,” he said. “We stopped at a gas station. I don’t recall any incident happening. I make way more than that doing a show. So, why would I want that type of trouble for myself…The harder the devil works at trying to destroy me because I’m special to God.”

Earlier this month, it was reported that DMX and members of his entourage robbed a 21-year-old of $3,200 in cash. According to X’s lawyer, the rapper did encounter four young men at a gas station, and their encounter did end with an argument, but he adds that there was no robbery.
