According to TMZ, Baton Rouge, Louisiana rapper Webbie was so moved during service at a Louisiana church on Easter Sunday (April 5) that he chose to be baptized later that day.
“Webbie got baptized on Easter, and he says he got the calling from the Big Man himself,” the website reports. “[Webbie] was down at a Louisiana church Sunday, when the preacher asked if anyone wanted to be baptized.”
Following the 30-second long baptism, the rapper reportedly celebrated with friends during a crawfish boil.

Aside from the occasional Instagram post, Webbie has remained relatively quiet both musically and via social media.
Most recently, the Southern wordsmith turned to Instagram to offer his take on the feud between Lil Wayne and Birdman. In the post, which has since been deleted, he offered his support to Birdman.
“I DONT KNO WUTZ GOIN ON… BUT IF ANYBODY FUCK WIT BIRDMAN IM RIDIN NIGGA!!!! $AVAGELIFE,” Webbie said in the caption to an Instagram post uploaded earlier this year.
