With the long-in-the-making matchup between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao now just over a month away, Las Vegas by way of Michigan native Dizzy Wright recently stopped by HipHopDX and offered up his prediction for the fight.
“I can’t go be a part of that madness, too much money in the building for me,” Wright said with a laugh in a clip that debuted as a part of Friday’s DX Daily. “I be at the crib, we gon’ cook. We gon’ chill. We gon’ hang out, watch it on the big screen. Hopefully he come out to that new record, y’all gon’ hear it!”
As for the fight itself, which has been widely touted as one of, if not the, biggest commercial boxing events in the sport’s history, Wright aligned himself with Mayweather, an athlete he paid tribute to with a recent song release.
“I think it’s gon’ go all the way but I think Pac-Man gon’ lose, for sure,” he said. “I don’t think nobody gon’ beat Floyd all the way. He gotta knock Floyd out if he wanna win. For sure. He ain’t gon’ be able to hit him that many fucking times. We talking about the greatest fucking defensive fucking fighter ever.”

Explaining why he’s a fan of Mayweather as a longtime Vegas resident, Wright went on to joke about the possibility of the 38-year old boxer walking out to the ring with his recent music playing.
“I’m from Vegas so we take Floyd serious,” he said. “We do. We fuck with the rebels. We ain’t got no basketball team we ain’t got no motherfucking football team. We got Floyd Money Mayweather. And I made an anthem for that nigga, he better come out to it too.”
