For the first time in years, rapper Kanye West and former Roc-A-Fella Records co-owner Dame Dash have linked up for a handful of new business ventures. In a series of Instagram videos uploaded this week, Dame speaks on the pair’s plans to “stick together culturally” and “create a whole new industry.”
He then reveals that both he and Kanye will be purchasing Karmaloop. Earlier in the week, it was reported that the streetwear e-commerce site filed for bankruptcy protection.
Dame added that the two have “a couple of other cool things” in the works, which don’t involve music.
“So, you know, we just about to do some new shit. Just stick together culturally. Take over the world. Create a whole new industry. You know what I mean? And just play the game fair. Honorable people stick together. So, this is how the generations do. Now he’s super-famous. And we linking up. And we decided to go buy Karmaloop. We just talked about it. And it’s gonna happen. And a couple of other cool things. We ain’t doing no music unless that’s for fun,” Dame Dash said in two videos uploaded to his Instagram account.

Dame spoke previously on his intentions to buy Karmaloop, during an interview with Hip Hop Motivation earlier this week. During the interview, he also revealed that he hopes to “put Complex out of business.”
“Me and Kanye are gonna buy Karmaloop, so you’ll probably feel that by the time this is out…I’m gonna put Complex out of business for fucking with me,” he said. “I don’t like them. It’s a war between me and them. We’re going to do that. Me and Kanye are going to snatch that up real quick.”
