Following his performance during Action Bronson’s SXSWonderfulShow last night (March 18) in Austin, Texas, Curren$y discussed his upcoming album, Pilot Talk III. In an exclusive conversation with HipHopDX, the Louisiana native confirmed that Jadakiss will appear on the project, as well as a number of other artists listed on his “wish list.”

“Expect a lot of the stuff I tweeted about on my wish list,” Curren$y told DX. “I tweeted about Jadakiss and people that I wanted on the album. These same people gave me back verses the same day that I sent them the beat and that’s incredible considering some of the people that was on my wish list. If you go back and comb through my timeline and see the people that I was just shooting in the dark and asking for, a lot of muhfuckers kept it funky with me. It’ll be out on my birthday, April 4.”

Along with Jadakiss, Curren$y tweeted he wanted verses from J. Cole, Styles P, Raekwon, and Big K.R.I.T. for Pilot Talk III.

Curren$y also spoke about his close associate, Lil Snupe, who was murdered in 2013. Curren$y said that Snupe would Facetime him regularly in attempt to catch him not smoking marijuana.

“What I remember most, and I think about it all the time, is that he used to Facetime me all the time to see if I was smoking,” he said. “He would be like, ‘Dawg, you’re the smokingest person I know. I just can’t believe that you really smoke that much.’ So he wouldn’t just regular call me. He’d Facetime me to see if he could catch me slipping, just walking around the house eating a grill cheese or something. But no matter whatever I was doing, I always had a joint in the mix, too, so he never caught me slipping. That’s my man. I miss him a lot. I think about that shit. I never took his picture off my Twitter, neither. That’s still my picture, man. It’s crazy because the last time I saw him was right around this time. I bumped into him here and then I had another show in Houston a little bit later. Then after that, you know what happened further on down the line.”
