Yup, another listening session is going down at Sony Studios in midtown Manhattan. But I wasn’t expecting this one. Def Jam is previewing tracks from DMX‘s sixth album, Here We Go Again. Featuring production by Swizz Beatz, Scott Storch and P.K. , the album is the next in line of Platinum and multi-Platinum hits. DMX has sold 15 million albums since 1998.
You may have already heard “I Run Shit,” produced by Swizz Beatz, but Scott Storch‘s “Give ‘Em What They Want” is the first official single and “My Song” produced by Grease is the second. The only features on Here We Go Again are Jadakiss and Styles P on “It’s Personal” and Bizarre on the heavy-metal hardcaore “Shit That I Do.” Of course, it wouldn’t be an X album without the requisite sermon song. Add “Lord Give Me A Sign” to the list of X classics.
