Chicago rapper Nigel “Hollywood” Holt has signed with Kanye West’s record imprint G.O.O.D. Music, Holt said via Instagram today (March 4).
“I’m excited to announce this morning that I just signed to #GOODmusic and my music is FINALLY coming out!!” Holt says in the post. “Be on the look out for new music!!!!! #HOLT2015 #GOODmusic #RT”
The post was accompanied by a short video, which depicted Holt jumping out of a window.
“And oh yeah, the human you see flying out of the window in the clip,” FakeShoreDrive reports. “That’s Holt himself. True story. The real rap game stuntman.”
Rumors abound over Holt’s status with G.O.O.D. music when the emcee performed on the G.O.O.D. Music stage during last year’s SXSW. Holt shared the stage with West, Big Sean, Pusha T and others in Austin.
Holt says that he will do more than rap in his upcoming music.
“YO! the love i’m receiving is overwhelming!” Holt says on Twitter. “i love all of you and i can’t wait to show you all my new music ‘hint i’m not rapping.’”
Holt is also a founding member of Chicago collective Treated Crew alongside Mano, Mic Terror and Gzus Piece.
“Well the cool thing about Treated Crew is that it’s beyond rap,” Mano says in an interview with Sway. “It’s literally a creative collective. Buying into Treated Crew isn’t just buying into a brand and getting some likes on your outfit on Instagram. You buying into the privilege of being with these people and these creative because you can also profit off of this if you are real into this.”
Official word from G.O.O.D. Music is still pending. Holt has changed his social media descriptions to reflect his affiliation with G.O.O.D. Music.
G.O.O.D. Music also expanded it’s roster in December by signing 20-year-old former American Apparel model Kacy Hill to a deal as a singer.
