Will Smith On His Kanye West Collaborations: “I Don’t Have Anything I Like Yet”

After revealing that he had been in the studio recording with Kanye West earlier this month, new details have emerged from Will Smith regarding his current musical efforts.

During a brief chat with Hollyscoop at the premiere of his new movie “Focus,” Smith revealed a few more details regarding his musical ventures.

“I’ve recorded a lot,” he says. “I don’t have anything I like yet. I’ve probably recorded seven or eight [songs]. It’s not for certain, it’s just explorative.”

In a story published by HipHopDX earlier this month, Will Smith revealed that his son Jaden had shown him some new writing techniques.

“My son tells me I have to write out the things I don’t like,” Smith said at the time. “I can’t write and stop. I have to keep going and going and write them out. I’ve never worked like that before but I think I might give that a shot.”
