Rising hip-hop star Gucci Mane, best known for his break out hit “So Icy” will turn himself in to the Dekalb County Police Department to answer an alleged murder charge.
The investigation began after police discovered a corpse near Columbia High School, in Decatur, Georgia. The alleged incident involves the rapper fending off five attackers. Details of the case are still sketchy. Thus far, the rapper has cooperated with authorities concerning this investigation.
Gucci, born Radric Davis is set to release Trap House today on Big Cat Records. The album’s first single, “So Icy” is currently heating up the charts, but this new charge threatens to slow his momentum. Promotional engagements set to help push the new CD are currently postponed. Gucci Mane’s label, Big Trap Records, plans to release another statement after the preliminary hearing.
