It has been a decade since Will Smith last made a solo Rap album, 2005’s Lost And Found.

Now, the Guardian reports that after making a career on the silver screen, Smith is contemplating a return to Rap and has been working with another Hip Hop icon.

“I went into the studio with Kanye [West],” he says at a screening of his new film, Focus. “I’m thinking about it. I’m exploring.”

Smith also says his son Jaden Smith has shown him some new writing techniques.

“My son tells me I have to write out the things I don’t like,” Smith says. “I can’t write and stop. I have to keep going and going and write them out. I’ve never worked like that before but I think I might give that a shot.”

Last year it was announced that Smith will executive produce a television show based on his 2005 movie Hitch.

Before he became one of the most successful actors in film history, The Fresh Prince was a fixture in American pop culture in the 1990s with catchy tunes such as “Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It” and “Miami” while also starring in the hit television show The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
