Missy Elliott & Timbaland Reunite In The Studio

Missy Elliott may be gearing up for a full-blown comeback.

After hitting the stage alongside Katy Perry at the Super Bowl, the “Get Ur Freak On” rapper is back in the studio working on new music.

Missy took to Twitter yesterday (February 10) night to share with her followers an image of herself and longtime collaborator Timbaland.

“Me & @Timbaland bk 2 the drawing board studio dirty beats!” she wrote via the social media site, arousing her followers.

The two Virginia natives have had a working relationship, dating back to at least 1996 when they began to prep Missy’s debut, Supa Dupa Fly. Timbaland has contributed to each of Missy Misdemeanor’s five albums.

In a recent interview on “Sway in the Morning,” Missy called the hits she and Timbaland have crafted “timeless.”

“I think what me and Tim did, our music was so ahead of its time and its still ahead of its time and it’s not even coming from a cocky or conceited way, I look at Tim and say, ‘What were you on? What were we on? Musically, It can’t be duplicated,” she said via phone on the radio broadcast. “Those records are timeless, now when you play them it don’t sound dated.”
