Diplomat Jim Jones wants to give fans a glimpse into his diary. Jones is preparing the follow up to last year’s On My Way To Church with Harlem: The Diary of a Summer. The album hits stores June 26th.

The emcee/director calls the album the “soundtrack to the ghetto”. “The main objective is to stay alive during those months,Cam’ron’s right hand man said of his new material. “This album will keep you real cool, like drinking an ice cold glass of sizzurp.

Leading the charge will be “Baby Girl” which is picking up steam on New York’s Hot 97 and Power 105. The album features collaborations with Jones’ Dip Set collective, Houston emcee Paul Wall and Fatal Houssein of the Outlawz.

Jones is also involved in the world of politics. He is affiliated with Russell Simmons’ Hip Hop Summit and Southeast Queens Action Network for Public Schools, both of which emphasize the importance of strengthening the community through its youth.
