David Banner has been the people’s champion down south. But that didn’t make his third album < I>MTA: Baptized in Dirty Water an instant success, rather a lukewarm effort shunned by many. So now he looks to become the people’s champ not only in the community but also on record with his next album titled Certified: The Album.
With his first single “Ain’t Got Nothing” featuring Magic and Lil Boosie already making waves he looks to do it up real big with his fourth album.
“We got everybody and their mom on the album,” Banner said to MTV. “From Twista to T.I. to Lil Jon to Jazze Pha, Jagged Edge, Talib Kweli, Too Short, Three-G Mafia. It’s a star-studded event.“
In the meanwhile you can catch Banner contributing from a production aspect to the likes of Twista, Ludacris and Chingy, as well as get his Ice Cube and Will Smith on by sharpening his acting ability taking classes.

“I’ve been in acting school for about a year,” he said. “I go to L.A. every week, and it costs a lot of money. The white rich girl who’s in ‘Hitch,’ she’s in my class. And there’s a couple other people who started blowin’ up that were in the class I was in. It’s crazy.”
