With his debut album Starrreleased at the end of last month, TeeFlii recently spoke with HotNewHipHop about his history as a gospel singer and back-up dancer for Chris Brown as well as his relationship with DJ Mustard and plans for a pair of post-album mixtape releases.
TeeFlii, who starred in a 2005 documentary about krumping called Rize under the name Baby Tight Eyez, told HNHH about introducing the style of dance to Chris Brown.
“I started out with Chris Brown,” he said. “I danced behind him, taught him a lot about krump, got him into the krump game [and] L.A. period. Just showed him how this dancing movement work.”
After speaking about his connection to DJ Mustard, TeeFlii revealed plans for two full mixtapes produced by the L.A. beatmaker.

“I actually got to meet Mustard through my cousin, Ace, he’s a CEO over there with YG,” he said. “Pushaz Ink, that’s the other family. DJ Mustard though, he just, with welcome arms accepted me…After the album drop we got big plans. We gon’ put out two mixtapes, it’s going down.”
“Mixtape’s coming after the album, you already know,” he also said. “It’s gon’ get ratchet! It’s gon’ get ratchet. We ratchet over here.”
TeeFlii also touched briefly on DJ Quik’s role in his latest music during the interview.
“DJ Quik mixed half of my whole album,” he said. “Just being blessed like that. Uncle Quik like mixed my whole album? Damn.”
