Earlier in the week, close friends and family of A$AP Yams (born Steven Rodriguez) said goodbye to the A$AP Mob member during a memorial service held at Frank E. Campbell Funeral Chapel in New York City.
Vibe.com reports that the service was attended by about 100 people. The chapel was reportedly adorned with flowers while Yams’ casket featured an image of the A$AP Mob founder riding a unicorn while wearing a Coogi sweater and adidas sandals.
Those in attendance at the service received laminated “In Loving Memory Of” cards, which featured the following tweet from the late A$AP Mob member: “if i die before i wake i pray that A$AP will be great my momma good and my girl be late so It’ll be another me and the world be straight.”
A$AP Rocky and other members of A$AP Mob reportedly attended a private service.

A$AP Yams passed away earlier this month at the age of 26. The cause of his death has yet to be revealed. Friend and fellow A$AP Mob member, A$AP Rocky criticized those who have suggested that a drug overdose was the cause of Yams’ death. He spoke on the matter during a recent interview with Billboard.com.
“People were saying that Yams overdosed on drugs — he didn’t overdose on any drugs,” A$AP Rocky said, according to Vibe.com. “I feel like people feel that way because that’s all he’s in pictures doing. When you see A$AP Yams you see Hennessey or purple drink, you see some type of controlled substance or illegal narcotic.”
