Nick Cannon has heard his fair share of jokes about his ex-wife, Mariah Carey, but the Wild ‘N’ Out host doesn’t plan on dishing out his own anytime soon.

Cannon took to Twitter yesterday (December 29) to clear up allegations that he would be rapping about his former beau – in an ill manner – on his upcoming album.

“I will never say anything negative about Mariah Carey,” he wrote. “We are forever a family rooted in love.”

“I am always an open book,” he continued. “But personal matters are just that ‘personal.’ So please respect my family and respect the process.”

Cannon’s remarks arrive days after producer Mally Mall told TMZ that Cannon planned to talk about Mariah on his album. Mall also mentions that “there’s going to be a lot of controversy” surrounding Cannon’s comments.

While Mariah has remained mum on the situation, Cannon continued his Twitter commentary with a string of tweets aimed at his detractors.
