Last August Foxy Brown went to Bloomie Nails for a routine manicure with an accompanying pedicure. What seemed to be a simple visit to the nail salon turned quite ugly and led to lawsuits regarding misdemeanor assault and attempted assault.

It was reported by the New York Times that during the visit the nail salon attempted to close without giving Foxy her manicure. When she refused to pay and attempted to leave, employees locked her in. “I got the pedicure, but they didn’t give me the manicure,” she said. When she refused to pay for service she claimed wasn’t received she kicked and hit one of the managers, causing “bruising and swelling to the face, as well as substantial pain” according to the prosecution. It is also said that the employees went to block Foxy’s car from leaving, resulting in one of the workers getting hit with her cell phone.

Foxy appeared at Manhattan Criminal Court and pled “Not Guilty” to the charges. She doesn’t anticipate this incident to slow down her recording career as she is working on her upcoming album for Def Jam.
