Cee-Lo and rising producer Danger Mouse (Grey Album) have announced that they are putting the finishing touches on a collaborative project titled Gnarls Barkley.
The two have been rumored to be working on a project but with Cee-Lo and Danger Mouse both dropping acclaimed albums last year the project got sidetracked.
“Cee-Lo and I kept talking about trying to finish this album for a long time,” says Danger Mouse. “Both of us had breaks in our schedules at the same time recently, so I flew down to Atlanta and two weeks later we had eight songs done. No doubt we’ll finish the album this month. We’re on a roll.”
While there is no release date for the album (word is the end of summer), for those who are looking for something to hold you over Danger Mouse is putting in production work on the anticipated Gorillaz album and is just about ready to release the much talked about MF Doom collaboration titled Dangerdoom.
