J. Period Unveils 10th Anniversary Mixtape Series Box Set

With the first of his long-running mixtape series now just over ten years old, J. Period stopped by HipHopDX to show off a special edition 10th Anniversary Box Set that commemorates the occasion and consolidates the entirety of his mixtape catalog in one place.

“So, for the tenth of anniversary, I partnered with a company called Good Wood, and another company called Bose to create this,” J. Period says in a clip that debuted as a part of today’s DX Daily. “So this is the J. Period 10th Anniversary Box Set. I’m about to blow your minds here. Since we’re celebrating ten years of mixtapes, I have custom created this thing right here which is an eight gigabyte flash drive that has every single mixtape I’ve done in the Icon series. So all the greats. Our friend’s at Good Wood have prepared the packaging. And our friends at Bose have been so kind as to supply a pair of noise-cancelling, in-ear Bose headphones to make the special occasion complete. These are super, super limited edition.

“We are gonna leave one of these with HipHopDx to do a giveaway so one lucky fan will get this collection right here,” he added. “There’s a follow-up version of this that’s gonna be exclusively with J. Period and Good Wood that’s gonna contain some other special items in addition to the tenth anniversary cassette drive. This is it. Really trying to commemorate this in style and Bose is obviously a premium company and so for them to agree to participate was just fantastic.”
