The Ruff Ryders are just putting the finishing touches on the fourth volume of their acclaimed series. According to MTV the album is just about done and should be released independently this July.
DMX, Jadakiss, Styles P, Sheek, Drag-On and Swizz Beatz will all be found on the comp while one noticeable void looms over the camp- former Ruff Ryder now Aftermath artist Eve. The femcee is nowhere to be found on the album.
Another item of note is the fact that the first single, DMX and newcomer MC Kartoon‘s, “Funk Shit” was originally produced by Dr. Dre with the hook and second verse chimed in by Busta Rhymes. Now with the all too familiar legal red tape shut it down and now the lead single will feature production by Scott Storch and Jadakiss will replace Busta Rhymes.
Besides MC Kartoon, several other newcomers join the fray for the 4th volume. Singer Aja Smith chips in “Stupid Bitch” while Scarlett (who you may remember with the infamous G-Unit booty in the “Wanksta” video) spits fire on “What Ryders Do”
