The Oakland, California-based Golden State Warriors will no longer be able to sing along to Long Beach, California rapper O.T. Genasis’ “CoCo” after any future wins, according to Deadspin.com.
Over the past few weeks, the Warriors have adopted a team ritual involving the O.T. Genasis record. Following wins, the team sings along to “CoCo” while on their team plane.
The Warriors’ Marreese Speights has uploaded a handful of videos of the team singing along to the song to his Instagram profile, but it now appears that the team’s new ritual has come to an end. Speights sent the following message via Twitter on December 7: “We wish we could do the coco thing but they said we can’t nomore sorry!!! #dubnation!!!”
