Questions were raised regarding Troy Ave’s involvement in the recent stage attack of iLoveMakonnen after he had some nasty things to say about the Atlanta rapper on Twitter.
Recently sitting down with Hot 97 the New York native says he doesn’t have any beef with Makonnen and dodged the question of whether he was involved in his recent stage attack.
“Man that ish was all Twitter stuff. Man you know, everything is overhyped now,” the BSB rapper said when asked the beef. “I mean, I mean a lot to my city. I know a whole bunch of people that be around a lot of people. It’s like if somebody is saying something about Drake, and you’re walking around the streets of Toronto, you don’t know who’s gonna feel a way about it.”
Troy Ave also says that he has never met the OVO rapper and decided to do a “Tuesday” remix because he liked the song.

“I never met the dude,” he said. “I just liked his record. So I remixed it. You know, I do keymixes. I do that to everybody’s record. Everybody else loves it.”
iLoveMakonnen was the target of a stage attack late last month while performing at SOBs in New York. Video surfaced of the assault showing the rapper extending his hand to an audience member, who then pulled Makonnen to the ground and subsequently punching him in the head.
