Snoop Dogg says that female rappers deserve credit for their sound, while speaking The D.L. Hughley Show.

Radio host and comedian D.L. Hughley asked Snoop Dogg what disappointed him most in the game today.

“That a female emcee don’t get the respect that she deserves,” Snoop responded. “It’s more about what she look like then what she sound like.”

Snoop D-O double G said that he has stayed relevant in the Hip Hop community through love and respect.

“I treat everybody with love and eye to eye,” Snoop Dogg says. “That’s why they call me ‘Uncle Snoop’ now instead of ‘Just some old rapper.’ I always treated them with love and respect. No matter how big he was I always looked at him eye to eye. The younger generation could always appreciate me…I love Hip Hop.”

Snoop has recently gained headlines for a feud with young female emcee Iggy Azalea.

“’I ain’t fuckin’ with you. Little, stupid ass bitch I ain’t fuckin’ with you,’ Snoop said when asked about the possibility of working with Iggy Azalea.”

Pharrell Williams produced Snoop’s next album. The project is due out January 15.
