Days after Compton, California rapper Tyga expressed his dislike for fellow labelmates Drake and Nicki Minaj during an interview with Vibe magazine, the Young Money artist was dissed by OVO Chubbs, an associate of Drake’s, via Instagram.
According to Complex.com, OVO Chubbs pieced together clips from Tyga’s appearance on the canceled MTV show “Bustas” and a speech from former Arizona Cardinals head coach Dennis Green. He then placed the edited video on Instagram with the hashtags, #TheyRWhoWeThoughtTheyWere and #Eps.1.
In the video, Tyga can be seen saying, “Grew up not too tough. Parents got a Range Rover CL 600. Doing it big. Not too much heart, but I’m still street.”
During his interview with Vibe magazine, which was published online earlier this week, Tyga stated that he didn’t really get along with Drake or Nicki Minaj. He then called Drake “fake” and revealed that he doesn’t “like Drake as a person.”

“I don’t like Drake as a person,” Tyga said. “He’s just fake to me. I like his music; you know what I’m saying? I think his music is good, but we’re all different people. We were forced together and it was kinda’ like we were forcing relationships together…I think being signed to Young Money, everybody felt like they had to force a relationship ‘cause Wayne put us together. At the end of the day the reason why I signed to Young Money is because of Wayne. Not because of Drake, not because of Nicki. It was because of Wayne and my relationship with him. I try to be cool with everybody, but sometimes, everybody just has different personalities, motives, and different characters. When you realize that, you realize that’s not a place where you want to continue to grow.”
Drake has yet to respond publicly to Tyga’s remarks.
