Childish Gambino has landed a role in the film The Martian, according to TheWrap.
In the movie, which stars Matt Damon and Jessica Chastain and Kristen Wiig, focuses on Damon’s character, an astronaut stranded on Mars.
Childish Gambino has been cast as a NASA employee.

The Martian is being directed by Ridley Scott, who also helmed American Gangster, the 2007 film starring Denzel Washington that also featured RZA, T.I. and Common.
As an actor, Childish Gambino goes by his given name, Donald Glover. He has appeared in the television shows 30 Rock and Community and is slated to appear in 2015 in the film Magic Mike XXL.
