It’s been eight months since Soulja Boy was arrested for driving a vehicle with a loaded gun and possessing marijuana, and now the charges have been filed.
According to TMZ, the Chicago native has been charged with “unlawfully carrying a loaded firearm” and marijuana possession stemming from a January incident in which Soulja was stopped while driving by Los Angeles police.
A subsequent search of his car turned up a loaded .38 caliber Smith & Wesson revolver and marijuana. The gun was found under the bucket seat of the Porsche Panamera he was driving. Soulja Boy claims it was his neighbor’s vehicle and he was the one who stored the gun under the seat. There is no word on why it took LAPD so long to officially file charges.
