Wayne is slated to drop his highly-anticipated new album later in the year, The Carter II, the follow-up to his critically-acclaimed gold-plus 2004 release, The Carter. The rapper has kept himself busy with a slew of hit side projects, fast becoming one of the most recognizable forces in Hip-Hop.

Wayne was one of only two guest artists invited to grace Destiny Child‘s comeback album, with his knockout cameo on their smash “Soldier,” proving to be an MTV staple.

More recently, Lil Wayne holds it down for mentor Bryan ‘Baby’ Williams on his hit single “Shyne On,” from Baby’s upcoming album, Fast Money.

Lil Wayne is also stretching his entrepreneurial muscles, celebrating his continuing relationship with Cash Money with a series of new artist launches on his Young Money Record label. Among the artists to be launched on the new imprint is R&B artist Real, who debuted on Wayne’s The Carter, and Mannie Fresh‘s most recent effort.
