Mariah Carey is back. She’s shot two (yes two) new videos so far for her upcoming album The Emancipation of Mimi. The songs “It’s Like That” and “We Belong Together” were both shot in Los Angeles by Brett Ratner. “It’s Like That” has a Vegas story line while “We Belong Together” brings back memories of her marriage to Tommy Mottola. Both videos feature cameos by Jermaine Dupri and Jay-Z among others.
Magic has been an exhausting week and Tuesday featured Black Eyed Peas member Will.I.Am unveiling his expertise as a fashion designer with his I.Am clothing line. Gleaming from his Grammy win, Will launched the line Tuesday night at an event that featured a performance by BEP and Macy Gray. The line has already drawn fans such as Ashlee Simpson, Kelly Osbourne and Coldplay. Look for the line worldwide.
Wyclef Jean and Chaka Khan will perform and headline the sixth annual concert to benefit Children Uniting Nations. The benefit and black tie gala is held for a Los Angeles mentoring program for foster children. The event takes place February 27th (which is also Oscar night) and will feature a formal dinner and a live auction.
