50 Cent’s Grandmother Beulah Jackson Passes Away

50 Cent’s grandmother Beulah Jackson has passed away, according to VladTV.

50 has long discussed his grandmother’s impact on his life. In 2012, the rapper spoke with Oprah Winfrey about his love and connection to his grandmother.

“I love my grandmother and my grandfather,” 50 Cent said at the time. “It’s a different thing with my grandmother. We’ve always had a connection. I used to sit there and rub on her feet, even paint on her toenails and stuff like that…For her, I’ll do that, because her feet swell up.”

During the interview, 50 also said his grandmother is the woman who loves him the most.

In her own sit-down with Oprah, Beulah Jackson said she didn’t play 50’s albums, but that she bought the rapper’s projects to help his sales. Jackson also said she hadn’t attended his concerts because there were “too many teenagers” present at shows. Despite this, she said she liked some of his music when she heard it on the radio. Jackson added that she raised 50 Cent in a household that prohibited the use of foul language and that he had to listen to her and to his teachers.

In June 2014, 50 said his first major purchase went to his grandmother during a Reddit AMA session. The rapper, who bought her a car, says it was a very important moment in his life.

“It was important to me because she took care of me when I couldn’t take care of myself,” he said at the time.

That same month, in an interview with Hot 97, the emcee explained that his grandmother had been ill.

“My grandmother was pretty sick recently,” he said. “Her actually being sick, for me, this is the only person who took care of me.”

At the time, 50 said he hoped she would recover fully from the illness.

In the interview, 50 also added that his grandmother was his soft spot.

VladTV, HHNM and other outlets say the following post comes from 50 Cent’s cousin Continental Five’s official Instagram page, confirming Beulah Jackson’s passing.

HipHopDX extends its condolences to Beulah Jackson’s family and friends.

      1. That shit ain’t even funny tho nikka! If you have the smallest amount for your own Grandmother, shut the fuck up!

    1. Lloyd Banks should tell Curtis to get over it. That’s what Curtis told him when his father died. Fucking ass hole. I have no sympathy for Curtis.

      1. NO that is not how the story went…STOP being mad at yourself for someone who don’t know you even exist.

50 told seen Banks about his work year or two AFTER the death not at the time of death. then they did not speak after that…Besides he is still shooting POWER 2 he just took few days off

      2. that was year after death when 50 said

“I had to go get the boy out of the house because he didn’t even want to leave a year later”

“I had to tell him you still have to provide for yourself and mom, SO I got him shot the music videos I’m not a video producer the video said directed by 50 cent…I had to get him back to work cause he did want to do anything, 18 tracks on last mixtape with NO VIDEOS”

    2. Filthy Cent didn’t go to Lloyd Banks fathers funeral so I doubt Lloyd will go to this niggas Grandma funeral….family members die every day, his grandmother was never on his rap records or in his videos like Common and Nas father so why is HHDX reporting this shit? Family members die every day.

      1. Just because she wasn’t on any of his albums does not mean that her death shouldn’t be mentioned you piece of trash. 50 is an artist so HHDX is obviously going to cover the story. Have some respect you piece of sh*t.

      2. Artists lose their grandparents every day you piece of trash and they dont get a headline, they just spam this clowns business because they know all his fuckboy fans are online instead of outside.

    3. So what? Sad for 50 but is this hiphop news? Is this relevant? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Remember how cold 50 was when BLoyd Banks dad died???????

      1. nigga he wasnt THAT COLD when banks daddy died. he just wanted him to get out the house and work to take his mind off shit, sitting on the couch smoking weed for months doesnt help get over the loss of a loved one

    4. Keep Your Head Up Boss… I know exactly what your going through… She is free from this mental prison…We all all hope to be as lucky as she is one day …

      1. It’s probably his mom’s side. She’ll actually be his great grandmother since his grandma died before he was even born.

      1. Really? In what world is that an appropriate comment to make after someone’s grandmother passed away?

        Show some fucking respect man.
