In a week that celebrated the 20th anniversary of The Notorious B.I.G.’sReady To Die(and the 25th anniversary of Big Daddy Kane’sIt’s a Big Daddy Thing), Hip Hop fans also got to hear a new Kendrick Lamar verse on Chris Brown’s latest single. A preview of a still-mysterious Drake and Tyga track was also released after being teased months ago (though it also sounds similar to a separate track both artists recently featured on as well). Nas also took his verse on a ScHoolboy Q track as a chance to announce the completion of his final album on Def Jam and plans for new music.

Elsewhere on the Top 10, a HipHopDX premiere of an Army of the Pharaoh’s single climbed up to #4, G-Unit and the Lox release more music, and Wale let loose his latest single featuring Jeremih.

Kendrick Lamar Features On Chris Brown’s “Autumn Leaves”

With the singer’s new album X due out on Tuesday (September 16), the Kendrick Lamar featuring “Autumn Leaves” leaked online earlier this week. The leak follows closely behind the latest official single, “New Flame,” which features both Rick Ross and Usher.

The slow-tempo track features a Chris Brown verse and hook before Kendrick Lamar takes over. “It seems that all the autumn leaves are falling/I feel like you’re the only reason for it/All the things you do, all the things you, do all the things you do,” Brown sings on the chorus.

“When you’re outlandish and you lose manners, to God you shall consult/When the bright cameras are still cramming in your face and it provoke/You to act mannish, just stay planted, because you reaping what you sow,” Kendrick raps.

Brown’s X will also feature appearances from Jhene Aiko, Lil Wayne, Tyga, Trey Songz, R. Kelly, and Akon.

Drake & Tyga Snippet Released

After the Canadian emcee teased the track at a performance in New York earlier this year, a snippet of a Drake and Tyga track apparently titled “All White” hit the Internet on Tuesday (September 9). The collaboration comes after the labelmates linked up previously for songs like “The Motto” and “Still Got It.” While it’s unclear who the track officially belongs to, Tyga’s next album, The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty, is slated to for release in November.

Noticeably the extended snippet sounds very similar to a recent Drake and Tyga feature found on a Mally Mall track called “Watcha Say,” released earlier this month. On both tracks Drake can be heard rapping the same money bragging lines: “Thinkin’ out loud/ I must have a quarter million on me right now/ Hard to make a song ’bout something other than the money,” he raps.

Nas Announces His Album Is Done On ScHoolboy Q’s “Studio” Remix

A “Studio” remix featuring Nas and BJ the Chicago Kid brought with it an announcement from the Queensbridge rapper. “Finished up my new album / Single about to be dropping / Last album on Def Jam and I got so many options,” he raps to open the song. The Nas feature on the remix adds to one of ScHoolboy Q’s most popular singles to date.

The announcement of Nas’ last album on Def Jam being finished came shortly after news of his heading up the Mass Appeal Records imprint. Alongside a statement about the label itself, Nas also confirmed the signing of artists Fashawn, Boldy James, Bishop Nehru, and Run The Jewels.
