After Snoop Dogg responded to Star’s criticism for playing a character named Todd on social media, Star took to his “Live & Direct” show to comment on the disagreement.

Last week, the former co-host of “The Star & Buc Wild Morning Show” on WWPR-FM criticized Snoop Dogg for his recently donning whiteface in a series of Instagram posts. Snoop posted several images and videos of himself in a blonde wig playing a character he calls Todd. Snoop responded shortly after in an Instagram post. “Here’s the bitch as half nigga star that’s hatin on Todd ! Jealous ass nigga,” Snoop Dogg wrote.

Detailing a series of Tweets he sent about the beef, Star said he received a flood of responses from fans calling Snoop’s character into question.

“You know my motto: I believe in kicking a man when he’s down, I go hard or I go home, I don’t lighten up, I tighten up,” Star said. “I tried to pull back off of Snoop Dogg ‘cause you know, he’s a skinny character type of nigga. I don’t know of anybody who hates Snoop Dogg so I try to pump the brakes. You niggas is going extra hard. But please get the fuck off my Twitter timeline with that shit.”

Speaking further on the feud, Star mentioned trying to move past the disagreement.

“Inspired by trolls, people out there, you know, Snoop Doggy Dogg fans, here I am up on Twitter for the last two days, trying to squash and move on,” he said. “I sent out a Tweet that said, ‘@snoopdogg Thanks for the drop homie – I’ve moved on. #respect’ Nobody retweeted that. I had to then make another Tweet saying, ‘Damn, two hours ago I tried to make peace and none of you niggas retweeted that.’ Then, six people retweeted it. Niggas ain’t shit. You want the drama. You live for the dumb shit. I put up another Tweet last night telling someone else, ‘Hey man, we’re all trying to move past this. It’s over.’ I swear to you twenty people within less than three hours sent me motherfucking Tweets: ‘Yo Star, ask the nigga about when Suge slapped him over a piece of chicken.’ Ya’ll heard rumors. I don’t know know nothing about that.”

During the show Star also spoke about a previous beef with Jill Scott and called Erykah Badu’s late-career music direction into question.
