J. Cole recently collaborated with two members of Bone thugs-n-harmony.
“We just went to the studio with J. Cole,” music executive and manager Steve Lobel said during an exclusive interview with HipHopDX that debuted in the DX Daily today (September 4). “Krayzie’s gonna be on J. Cole’s new album. J. Cole didn’t even know Bone’s story, how they took a Greyhound to meet Eazy[-E, who signed them to his Ruthless Records imprint]. Then J. Cole was telling his story and Kray is like, ‘I’m gonna tell you my story.’ But we’re gonna let Cole tell it first. The record’s fucking crazy. Crazy. Bizzy [Bone] got on it, too.”
Lobel also says that Wiz Khalifa and A$AP Rocky are among the artists who have reached out to the Bone thugs-n-harmony camp about potential collaborations.
Last month, Krayzie Bone says that Bone thugs-n-harmony’s E. 1999/Legends album being up for bid has created demand for the project.

“The reaction has been great,” Krayzie Bone said at the time. “We received the first bidder. I ain’t gonna say who it is…This is gonna be like a domino effect and the one bidder came in like very, very interested. I’m just putting that out there. We got a bidder, so all you all bidders better come on and start bidding ‘cause it’s going down.”
