Not too many people have screwed with T.I. and the rapper didn’t mind. But now Paul Wall will screw the rapper’s latest album. Tuesday, February 8th will see the release of Urban Legend: Chopped and Screwed by Paul Wall.
The underground mixmaster on the come up has given the album a complete facelift and has incorporated the all too famous down south “screw” sound for this release. If you don’t know about “screw music” you can check out T.I.’s official web site where it says that “‘Screw music’ was born out of Houston’s alternative hip-hop scene, fueled by the use of codeine as a recreational drug – aka ‘syrup sippin’. Screw simulates the drug’s trademark hallucinatory effects, producing an innovative, trance-like new hip-hop groove, a slower pace crafted by pitching down the mix until a lumbering, often eerie, tone is achieved.”
Be on the lookout for Urban Legend: Chopped and Screwed by Paul Wall to hit shelves everywhere February 8th.
