There has been some interesting stories this week but the one that raised more than a few eyebrows is the Houston gouges eye out piece. The most unbelievable thing is the fact that even though security thwarted the 13th floor dive, they neglected to care over him when he was locked in his room.

I don’t know about you… but if somebody I know tries to jump out of a window, he’s on suicide watch for the rest of the week! No matter how many ways you slice it, there is no way that a suicidal and depressed young man should be locked in a room all by himself.

It is still unknown what he attempted to gouge his eye out with but judging by the pictures it had to be something relatively sharp. The real unfortunate thing about the situation is the fact that this may give him more attention then he has gotten ever. The sad thing about our society is that when something controversial pops up, the artist generally gains more notoriety. Very unfortunate but that’s just the way this industry is. This type of behavior and problems are not only limited to Hip Hop…it’s like Biggie said “Mo’ money, mo’ problems.”

Well those are my thoughts, until next week. Check out what else happened in the week of Hip Hop with the following HHDX Features and Headlines:
