The media has famously been Kanye West’s enemy #1 for the longest time. From his run ins with TMZ photographers to Jimmy Kimmel and even people who review his albums, Kanye’s hate for the media is longstanding.

‘Ye has also been known to take these feelings on the road with him and shout them out at his shows. Recently performing at Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco, Kanye made his voice heard about the matter once again. At around 8:30 pm Kanye cut off his performance of “Clique” to address the crowd and the media.

“Instead of embracing the moment, embracing the time, the era, the season that they’re living in — called Yeezy season,” he exclaimed according to Billboard. He followed up 40 minutes later with some more encouraging words for the audience.

“At the Yeezy show, everyone is a star,” Kanye shouted. “I promote self-confidence! If you’re a friend of mine, you’re really just a friend of yourself!”

Kanye prefaced his drop of “Blood On The Leaves” with an intro explaining that he doesn’t make music to fit in.

“This ain’t no radio shit. This ain’t no shit made to please mutherfuckers. This ain’t no concierge, maitre d music and shit trying to sound smooth as possible.”

The seventh edition of Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival at Golden Gate Park featured numerous Hip Hop acts including Run The Jewels (Killer Mike and El-P) who performed earlier in the day.
