How does it feel to be the only female rapper nominated for a Grammy Award this year. Ask the Terror Squad’s Remy Ma as she and the rest of her crew except a nomination for their song “Lean Back”. In the category of Best Rap Performance By a Duo or Group, Remy Ma hopes to achieve the same success as pervious winners Queen Latifa, Lauryn Hill, Eve and Missy Elliott.
Back in the studio working on her new album “There’s Something About Remy: Based On A True Story”, Remy hopes to achieve the same solo success by re-teaming with “Lean Back” producer Scott Storch. Twenty three year old Remy Ma prides herself on the fact that she writes her own rhymes and enjoys sharing the spotlight from the guys. Many people may remember she made her first appearance nationally when she appeared with MOP on the remix to their hit song “Ante Up”. Look for her solo album to hit stores this summer.
