As you may have heard, Babygrande Records, home to Jedi Mind Tricks, Jean Grae and more, have recently signed the East Coast street buzzing Purple City.

The Harlem, NY-based Purple City movement currently boasts core members Shiest Bub “The Emperor”, Un Kasa, and Agallah “The Don Bishop.” If the names sound familiar it’s because these kats have been in the game for a minute.

Un Kasa has appeared on both of the Diplomats’ full length albums as well as Cam’ron “Purple Haze”.

Agallah is known for his production with the Dipset crew, while Shiest has been laying down the groundwork for the entire “purple” movement from the fashion to the lifestyle for years.
