He later dubbed the album a “classic” and shared that he’s hoping for collabs from both Nicki Minaj and Big Sean for his project.

“[The] album will be a classic. I will be dropping an album this year,” Rich Homie Quan said. “You can expect Drake on my album. You can expect Boosie on my album. You can expect Thug on there. You can expect Wayne. You feel me? I gotta get Nicki on there. You gotta get all the Hip Hop. That’s why I’m still waiting. That’s why you ain’t heard it yet. I’m still working on it. I gotta get Big Sean on there. A lot of these my idols. People I looked up to coming into the game.”

And in a separate interview with XXL magazine, Rich Homie Quan revealed that his upcoming album is about 40 percent done and is still without a title.

“At the moment it’s untitled, but I’m still working,” he said. “I’mma say like 40 percent done. Hopefully, it can drop before the end of the year is out. Other than that just trying to make the movement bigger than life.”

Rich Homie Quan, who is currently independent, later revealed that there is a possibility that he may sign to Cash Money Records in the future.

“Yes,” the rapper said when asked if he might sign to the label. “Cash Money my idols coming up…To just changing the whole game. And if it doesn’t, it doesn’t, but I haven’t signed a deal at the moment. I’m still independent as we speak. Other than that, man, like I always say I’m trying to make the movement bigger than life. And if it works out with Cash Money it works out, but if it doesn’t Birdman will be my uncle for life. You dig?”

Lastly, the Southern wordsmith spoke on the lessons he’s learned from fellow artists Jeezy and Wiz Khalifa.

“Just stay relevant,” Quan said. “Despite how long you been in the game, stay relevant. I look at Jeezy and then I look at Wiz, both of them have long careers, which one day I’m trying to have. Other than that, stay relevant.”
