A homeless man in New York City was reportedly arrested on Thursday (July 24) for stalking and harassing Rihanna. The man, 53-year old Kevin Mcglynn, has a history of as many as twelve previous arrests on his record according to the NY Daily News.

Besides several letters sent to Rihanna at an address in California, Mcglynn continually delivered personal and threatening letters to the R&B singer via an employee at her SoHo apartment, a $14.6 million duplex. The Daily Newsalso reports that the suspect was seen on security footage at the building on three separate occasions throughout the month of July. On July 8, Mcglynn twice visited the Lafayette St. building in which Rihanna lives. Most recently, on July 11, he made his third and final visit to the singer’s building before being apprehended this week after police found a lead to his name and address.

The criminal complaint alleges that through his letters Mcglynn “repeatedly called her a b–ch” and menaced the singer with threats of “bum ([rushing]) in her apartment.”

Assistant District Attorney James Vinocur reportedly described the letters in question to a judge in court. “The nature of these letters (is) confusing,” he said. “They all do indicate a personal relationship, as I indicated before, that simply does not exist.”

During the arraignment Mcglynn allegedly claimed that Rihanna as well as Jay Z and Kanye West stole “[his] material.” Mcglynn is currently being held without bail per a decision by Judge Abraham Clott.
