Majid Jordan has released its A Place Like This EP.
The five-song EP from the OVO Sound duo of Majid Al Maskati and Jordan Ullman features the song “U.”
The pair worked with OVO Sound owner Drake on his hit single “Hold On, We’re Going Home,” which was included on Drake’s 2013 album, Nothing Was The Same.
Majid Jordan released its afterhours EP in August 2013 under the name Good People.

1. Its a 5 song EP. I dont know if most of you pay attention to the music industry but most people release EPs to build up for the actual album. 2. The fact that you know the group and that they are associated with Drake shows marketing right there. Also the fact that they are being covered and talked about on this blog is promotion. How many artists in the world release music on a daily and get their project posted on a major website that arent signed to majors? think about it. and 3. If you understand the music industry when it comes to labels like OVO, which is signed to Warner, even if you are signed you still have to prove to the company that DISTRIBUTES your music(once again for Majid Jordan its Warner that handles distribution) that you can be profitable for them. So the best way to do that is to put out a mixtape and/or EP, like they did, go do some shows and Open up for some artists, then after youve made your way around and can show whoever is distributing your music that they can benefit from supporting you, THEN they will invest money into promoting your next project and putting the appropriate amount of marketing dollars towards it.
