Rick Ross Addresses Meek Mill, Wale Feud

Rick Ross has addressed the recent feud between Meek Mill and Wale

“It’s a misunderstanding,” Rick Ross says in an interview with Bullett. “As soon as the tweets went out, I spoke to both of them on the phone. Those two guys, they’re brothers. At the end of the day, they’re brothers and it’s time to turn up right now. It’s time for all of us to turn up and stay turned up, you know what I mean? But it’s all love between those two and everybody knows that.

“That’s why you seen whatever was said, the little brotherly jabs and then that was it,” Ross adds. “That’s all you’re going to see. They’re two real dudes, two successful dudes, and we all came from the same place. When I first brought them on the team, we all drove to our first video set together. It was just us three, and I felt we all was at the bottom at the time. You know, Wale was in his new situation, Meek in his first situation, and me in my very first situation being a CEO, being a bawse with my own label deal. So we all was on the same flow, and once we mention that, it’s all good.”

Still, Ross says he understands this type of incident can happen in the industry.

“You know certain things will occur,” he says. “That’s just the nature of the game. There’s going to be dust kicked up at every arena, and you should all expect that. But at the same time, we’re focused on what we came for.”

Earlier this month, Meek Mill called Wale a “cornball” and criticized him via Twitter for not supporting his projects. Wale responded with a message on Instagram denying allegations that he doesn’t support his fellow MMG member

During the interview with Bullett, Ross also says he’s on the look out for several artists, including K Kutta, Iceberg and Troy Ave. He also says there’s a chance he will start his own clothing line. In the piece, he also reveals what he’s got coming up next.

“We just finished writing our first film,” he says. “We’re still in the final works. We haven’t released the title or nothing like that, but I want to begin production and filming before the year’s out, so maybe as early as next summer we can do something.”

      1. yeah it’s time to turn up. I don’t quite know what that means but I’m gonna do it cause titty boy rick ross said so. turn up nah mean

      2. “Turn Up” is a phrase used primarily amongst African Americans, it’s loose definition means
“get busy”. The phrase possibly originated from the phrase “turn up the volume”.

    1. Deeper than rap. At the end of the day they are all Black businessmen using their brains, game, and talent to provide for their familes and their team. Egos may clash and egos may get bruised and there may be a slight degree of envy within the crew along with the healthy competition but that’s still your brother and still your family.

When brothers come together as a collective its important that you play your position and be patient with the grind and not let your emotions override your reasoning.

Not to excuse Meeks behavior but the stress from his probation and the pressure of a sophomore album coupled with drama within his own team (Louie V Gutta) and the Slo fiasco in addition to other issues seems to have brought him to an emotional boiling point and culminated with his incarceration…so lets just wish them all continued success and learn from their mistakes.

      1. Meek felt like Wale wasnt supporting his new project and Wale has a Gold fanbase so you want his support of you are on the same team.

    2. “”Its a misunderstanding,”

At least he didn’t say misconfusion again like with the Jeezy situation

“Theyre two real dudes, two successful dudes, and we all came from the same place.”

How are they from the same place? They from 3 different states, Meek is from the streets, Wale is from college and Ricky is from the prison system.

      1. From a Black perspective they all come from the Black community they all came from Black parents and all went to Black schools and had a dream to build a carrer doing Black music….so when you here a Black man say that three Black men are “brothers” and “family” it might strike fear in your heart and disappoint you but we work better against you under the banner of brotherhood and community.

    3. “Those two guys, theyre brothers. At the end of the day, theyre brothers and its time to turn up right now.”

Brother’s would call each other and talk like a men, clearly Meek doesn’t think of Wale as his brother. They have nothing in common except for MMG and they spend no time together unless Ross brings them together. They are acquaintances at best.

      1. Meek grew up without a father so of course he has a lot of female traits. Maybe he doesn’t know that real men talk to each other about their problems instead of putting their so called friends on blast in front of the world.

      2. You are unqualified to speak on Meeks personal feelings about Wale and vice versa, you dont know them personally so you have no clue about what they have in common. What we can all agree on is the fact they have a lot more in common being Black males from the same region who have the same profession and passion for music than you have in common with either of them.

      3. I got more in common with Wale than Meek does. Thats a fact. We bond over the latest WWF fights and zelda video games.

      4. I blame these older rappers for all this social media venting, you have 40 year old rappers posting IG pictures with gay accusations and crossing out the faces of their former business partners, and all sorts of feminine behavior. Immaturity.

      5. @Bruthadee cant help but take shots at 50 every chance he gets because Tony Yayo impregnated his crack whore sister and left her to live off welfare with the rest of his fam.

    4. “It was just us three, and I felt we all was at the bottom at the time.”

you still are fool. mmg only label with no plat albums

      1. Port of Miami is not plat according to RIAA and I sold a few hundred cds back in highschool but I’m retired now. I already sold more albums than Gunplay!

      2. Yet gunplay makes more than you. Not even the highest earner. Also, a promo video said Port of miami went platinum.

      3. Hello, I am new to Rap music from the States but I am a huge fan of Rockie Fresh and
Cassie Veggies, I see on blogs were mainly Americans blog that you talk about Platinum
but I rarely see any of your rappers go platinum except the radio ones. Mayback Music
was built in 2009 I think, how many of the other labels that were built from then till now have platinum records? Thanks for the information.

        Lommy.

    5. hes such a good liar its almost effortless for him at this point. telling the truth would be a real struggle for William.

    6. he just admitted to playing daddy between to grown men who got into some tweet beef. nigga gave them a time out LOL i would have loved to hear what he called and said to meek mill.

    7. this clown camp of fake ass bitches… wutang had disputes but you dont see em hitting up twitter

    8. The worst part about this feud was that Meek was real quick to blast his “brother” for everyone to see but too much of a bitch to publicly apologize to Wale like a man for his irrational thinking.

    9. mmg is still one of the most mediocre labels in rap i hope french montana and khaled suicide bomb their next concert.

      1. Of they were in Israel they could get bombed by white Jewish terrorists, its a war going on over there.

    10. I dont envy a CEO in the rap game one bit, Grand Hustle will never recover from Alfamega, I look at CTE and the dram with Kinky B and Gibbs and think heavy is the crown.
Poor Ms Antney must have grey hairs by now dealing with Waka, Frenchie and Gucci and that madhouse at BrickSquad but I don’t envy Top Dawg either dealing with those Hippys.
How can you get all those egos to coexist without the jealousy and clash of personalities?
You have to have a strong leader and if the leader cant get your respect and is weak then your artists
will attack you and destroy what you built.

      1. Young Black and Rich…..two dudes still in their twenties dealing with FAME and all the craziness that come wit it. Squash that shit and get back in the studio and make some music for the fans and haters.

      2. Money changes people and if you dont believe that then you are not living in reality, I think the hardest thing for C.E.O is finding people willing to play their position with patience and the hardest
Thing for an artist is watching your teammate shine while you wait your turn.

      3. its gotta be tough for an artist to watch your teammate get beat down time and time again. meek dont even acknowledge gunplay at this point nigga is a walking L. not even Wale could get knocked out at his own show in his own state and thats a fact.

    11. Kinda overblown, calling a guy a “cornball” aint shit compared to Gucci Vs Waka or GIbbs Vs Jeezy, certain people want specific people to fail so badly that they go overboard with minor shit like its major.

    12. Well Rick Ross if your on the look out for several new artist tell me why you haven’t check out the new kid “BLVCK” great artist with GM$T trust me you want regret promise…#remember you was once here…Mom Duke!!!!

    13. I’m sorry I forgot to tell you where to go an check this kid out at…Youtube check him out “BLVCK” Get money stay true..#GM$T

    14. “Anonymous:
      That promo video lied.”

How much does it mean to the rappers?

A.) Should the rapper take his Black Amex card and go online and buy the remaining digital copies necessary for certification?

B.) Should the rapper allow fans to purchase the back catalog and gradually reach certification?

C.) Should the rapper focus on music business issues of more importance?

Me personally I would focus more on the revenue streams outside of album sales since the majority of the revenue generated from album sales goes to the record label leaving platinum artists like Young Buck bankrupt and struggling to fight off the iRS.

    15. Ross handled that like a boss. Yall Should Visit (Thegrandreport, com) They Have Some Good Videos On There too

      1. They can only beat us if we are divided and going against each other, they hate when we are unified and together.

      1. It was the Probation and DA office more than it was the police but they only got in Meeks business not Wales.

    16. Im glad Wale took the high road. I know Meek wouldn’t be able to be a man like that he would have been tweeting disrespectful shit all week talkin about his shooters and his money if Wale had came at him.

      1. Meek didnt handle shit with class or maturity. He would have been kicked outta my crew after that bitch nigga shit.

      1. Thats foul, JR was riding with them against JayZ and 50 and the thanks he gets is the cold shoulder, no wonder Vado left to o to WTB.

      2. Fuck JR Writer. Him and his bitch ass manager “DJ Plat” were out here trying to take people’s money for verses and disappearing like low life car thieves and shit. Cam needed to cut cancers like those bitch ass niggas off a long time ago.

    18. I have been watching Taylor Gang Records and Maybach Music Group since ’08 ”09 and I like what I see, I like the rebranding that Wiz and Rozay did with Wale and Juicy but also I respect how they went outside their regions to scoop up some talented acts like Ty Dolla and Stalley.

Most people dont know that Juicy J owns a third of Taylor Gang along with Wiz, just like most people dont know that Fat Trel is signed to Wale new imprint WaleMusic.

Wale can spit, that new track he dropped “MMG Under God” is crazy, plus he gave Meek a shout out so I salute him.

      1. Who cares. Fuck Wiz and his boy band.

If you like what you see you like a lot of corny and fake shit.

      2. Too bad Wiz couldnt light a fire under LoLo Luv, she got a lil talent but no she seeded up so the career is secondary. Ty Dolla should have signed with a west coast crew just like Troy Ave should have signed to a East Coast crew.

    19. The worst fights are between brothers and I hated to see Jay and Dame go so far with their split, but as long as there is a level of respect I doubt things will reach the level of diss records and actual beef trying to damage each others career.

      1. I don’t wanna appear insensitive…but nigga that’s what we wanna see. We wanna see these niggas get at one another!I want some Biggie and Tupac real shoot out shit, not Drake and Common diss each other over a bitch.

Niggas rap about how they body niggas. Well lemme see that shit! Please ma nigga, I wanna watch that shit. Even if that shit on PPV I’ll stop by someone’s house and watch it.

      2. @CALBOSS Why not just go to a local hood near you and get your dose of violence and bloodshed and leave the music entertainers to entertaining us with music.

      3. well I also wanna see niggas fuck each other in the ass on CAMERA nigga and spit loogies in each other mouth

      4. ^when whitey tells us his real intentions online

That aint cal boss, stop thinking about mans anus weirdo

      5. Faggotry is what they do best, they know they could NEVER be a MAN so they make up gay fantasies with people online.

      1. G Unit as a group and as a label was the most dysfunctional label/crew that ever existed.
One big circus of dysfunctional behavior and bitch made activity.

Bang Em Smurf was a Co-founder of the group G Unit and he had to go to war with 50 and ended up throwing chairs at his face live on the Summer Jam stage in 2004….fast forward to now and Smurf is on Twitter laughing at the death of G Unit affiliate Mazaradi Fox and rolling with Coke Boys & MMG.

Sha Money XL was a Co-Founder of the label G Unit records and now he is trying to convince a
G Unit affiliate name Slo to sue 50 Cent for having another G Unit affiliate rob him onstage.
Now Sha is doing work with SBOE and Slim da Mobsta and other enemies of G Unit.

Game was the best selling artist besides 50 Cent to be in/on G Unit and he dismantled the entire label with 250 diss songs and topped it off by beating former G Unit rapper 40 Glocc into some bushes and shrubbery.

Poor Young Buck was everybodys favorite rapper on G Unit until he had his private conversations and weeping recorded by 50 Cent and leaked to the Internet to destroy his image, then he was sued for $1 million by 50 Cent before he declared bankruptcy and was sentenced to prison for a year and a half…now the poor guy is cooking and washing dishes for the boss who he dissed on wax multiple times.

Tony Yayo thought it would be cute to slap the son of Games manager and ended up getting
G Unit affiliate Pop Lodi murdered and his mothers house riddled with bullets, now he does songs with LiL B to pass the time.

Lloyd Banks has been called lazy and compared to spoiled milk by 50 Cent and can go years without even speaking to his Boss publicly or privately so now he does songs with French Montana just to feel like a man in control of his own actions.

      2. BWS is the last label to speak on dysfunction, hottest artist was nu jersey devil who was a dj with mysonne up next. Game even shut it down, aint enough publishing bread to pay a light bill there

      3. u neva shoulda mentioned g-unit that just set bruthadee off now he gonna be up all night writing essays about a group he supposedly hates!

      4. How can the one Anon call BWS dysfunctional when them dudes barely ever got on? Game is
Bi-polar so it was only natural that him and Big Faze fell out, and LMAO at Five O suing his own artist just to keep him under contract.

      1. i do so do million of others theres nothing fake about rick ross you just jealous of a very successful black man.

    20. Bruthadee i thought you had children why are you on dx dedicating your parenting time talking about gUnit

      1. the geeks exposed him as a deadbeat he didnt even call his daughter on her birthday he was busy watching the game

    21. Meek Mill Is clearly more immature than Wale, not saying Wale isn’t guilty of his own stunts and outbursts but it seems like Meek jab that he took was really on a non professional level. Personally I think Wale makes the best music from MMG.

      1. Wale is def the best lyricist but Ross got him on the production end, I think Rockie is underrated.

    22. one of the greatest things ross has ever done. just set them straight. cant have this bullshit in the outfit. no.

    23. This is for the writer of this post Andres Tardio. I don’t like the way you wrote “bawse” when clearly you should have written “boss” when quoting Ross. You wouldn’t write “dem” or “dey” or “yaknawmean”. I know it’s a small thing but respect your subject and stop contributing to dumbing hip hop down. The smallest details matter. Other artist of other genres with accents don’t get quoted like this.

    24. “We’re here for this… the fashion, clothing and sneakers. The culture”

Ross is a disgrace to the culture, especially when he says BS like this.

      1. If you were a part of the culture you would know that fashion is a part of HipHop culture but you most likely wear Goth fashion and listen to Kreayshawn.

      2. fashion is great but it dont mean shit

kids in the projects really living this shit dont got audemars and fake lv shades like rozay

    25. lol Ross can’t do an interview without calling himself a “bawse”

Like 50 saying “actual” every time

      1. Ross is even worse though, he’s constantly saying “at the end of the day” and “most definitely” as well as constantly reassuring himself that he is still indeed a bawse

    26. no beef! MMG remains a big family, we all stand to support meekmilley at this time, much love to the house.
